The Musical
“Puah’s Midwife Crisis” is at once poignant and deeply moving, light-hearted and very funny.
Supported by a score that runs the gamut from she-bop, blues, and tango to lyrical and dramatic, the result is a celebration that will have audiences crying one minute, laughing the next. The cast includes a party boy Pharaoh, power-hungry chiefs of state, ditsy ladies-in-waiting, and down-to-earth Hebrew women. But at the heart of it all is always Puah~a courageous, vibrant, funny, endearing heroine. Because she is willing to stand her ground and say “no” to Pharaoh’s law and “yes” to God’s, her story becomes one about nothing less than the transformation of the human spirit.
